Open Crown Hat mold for cowboy or dress hat making. It is made with beautiful poplar hardwood from the U.S.A. This crown style is ideal for hat makers who are looking to get a perfect height and sizing to facilitate the look when hand shaping the felt. 1. CROWN HEIGHTS (in):
-- 5 1/2 in [low crown (great for fedoras, pinch / teardrop, gambler, ladies styles)]
-- 5 3/4 in [medium crown (great for any western, fedoras, or perfect for store hat bar shaping)]
-- 6 to 6 1/4 in [high crown (old west, vintage cowboy, rancher)]
2. Optional Plate Lifts:
-- The hat block is designed to add plate lifts (extra cost) for additional height to your hat block so that way you would not have to purchase extra hat blocks. It could be used to retain a hat size too. (1/2in or 3/4in available)

please note that big sizes for a 5.5 or 5 3/4in crown tend to look too short therefore I can add a slight increase in height each size that is above 7 1/2 to offset the proportions of how the hat is going to look. This could also be applied to small sizes so let me know if this is your concern.
My hat blocks are made-to-order! If you are ordering the half a dozen set or a set of 10 you can see your order be finished within 2-3 weeks average. I will let you know if production will take longer or shorter! Thank you.
